THE annual Amotherby Vintage Working Day took place at the weekend.
Held at Sleights Farm in the village, visitors to the two-day event included displays of vintage tractors, a threshing display and working binders, as well displays of cars and motorbikes. A tractor run around the local villages also took place on Saturday evening.
Andy Bulmer, one of the organisers, said: "We had a cracking day and weather-wise it was one of the best weekend's we've had. Everyone enjoyed it and we had a fantastic time."
The event raised £1,000 which will go to the Wilf Ward Trust, Marie Curie, Ryedale Mencap and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Andy said: "Next year will be our 40th anniversary and we are hoping to attract more sponsors to make the event even better."
Anyone who would like to provide sponsorship should phone Andy on 01653 628958 or email bulmerslugger@btinternet.com
