A MAN was arrested after an alleged assault in North Yorkshire, but he has since been released without charge.
Police were called shortly after 2.30am yesterday to reports of an assault in Cayton near Scarborough.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on the A171 near Ugthorpe, close to Whitby, on suspicion of assault and drink driving.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "There will be no further police action."
