We often hear of so many stories with sad endings or simply bad news. But this is a feel good story for you. This past Thursday I was shopping in Malton with my BFF when I lost my leather coin purse which contained about £300. We retraced our footsteps going back to every shop we had visited during our excursion. We searched high and low. But it was nowhere to be found. The shopkeepers graciously took my contact details. Some offered to look back through their security tapes to see if I’d dropped the purse in their shop. Susie of Susie Marrocco Ladies Fashions on Saville Street had an idea to post the loss on the Malton business website. What a brilliant idea! My 15 year old leather Union Jack coin purse has sentimental value to me. It’s old and falling apart. I’ve never been able to find another one like it . I was upset with myself for being careless and losing it. What a Numpty!!! Within 30 minutes Susie rang my mobile and excitedly told me that my coin purse had been found at Yorkshire Traders!! David the Manager had found it in the tool section. I couldn’t believe my luck. Thank you good Samaritans for reminding us that there people who do the right thing simply because it’s the right thing to do!
