Some members of the two Open the Book local teams gathered together for lunch on the lawn of Nancy and Chris Spencer in Leavening.
The event was to thank Sid and Margot Taylor for all their help organising the presentations of Open the Book over many years.
Margot was given some flowers and Sid a box with Christmas light decorations, which will be added to his collection for December when they illuminate their house.
Open the Book is a storytelling project where Bible stories are shared with children in a way that is fun, interactive and memorable.
