NORTH Yorkshire trainer David O'Meara, who won last year's Group 1 Prix de 'Abbeye at Longchamp with Move in Time, returns his celebrated sprinter to racecourse duty at Hamilton today.

The gelding runs in the EBF Stallions Soba Stakes over five furlongs and is set to concede weight all round. Obviously, he is the class horse in the race, but this is a starting point to the season for Move In Time and, on this occasion, it might be safest for punters to row-in with the race-fit PIPERS NOTE.

Trained by Richard Whitaker and the mount of Malton-based George Chaloner, Pipers Note has been in cracking form, winning three of his four starts this term, most recently at Beverley a fortnight ago.

Pipers Note is now into a tougher division but he is a fast-improving speedster and he is fancied to have the measure of his rivals, including Move In Time.

Whitaker and Chaloner can also score with ICY BLUE in the Fernigair Handicap.

The gelding finished a creditable runner-up to Janaab at Ripon on his latest start.

FAST AND FURIOUS makes plenty of appeal in the opening Highland Spring Water Avon Gorge Maiden Stakes.

Trained by James Bethell at Middleham, the two-year-old took a step forward for his fourth-placed debut effort when chasing home the useful-looking Sandahl at York earlier this month. He is getting more professional all the time and is napped to make it third-time-lucky here. PJ McDonald has the mount.

Jedd O'Keefe, another Middleham trainer, has a couple of chances on the Hamilton card.

MORE MISCHIEF, the mount of Graham Lee, runs in the John Dudgeon 84th Birthday Handicap.

A winner on this course on his penultimate start, the three-year-old has since finished a creditable runner-up at Haydock.

DANOT also has a good chance for O'Keeffe in the Chatelherault Palace Handicap.

Although no match for Aprovado, a winner again since, at Pontefract last time out, Danot did well to come out best of the rest and this looks a good opportunity to try and go one better.

Alan Berry has a pretty good record with his runners on this course and AMIS REUNIS appeals as another winner for him in the Racing UK On Sky 432 Handicap with Paddy Mathers in the saddle.

The sprinter did well to finish second from a bad draw at Beverley last time in an apprentices' race. A previous winner at this venue, Amis Reunis can return to winning ways.

At Brighton, Gary Mahon has an excellent chance aboard ECLIPTIC SUNRISE in the Silver Star Tenancy Cleaning Handicap.

Des Donovan's charge has been in fine form lately and ran out an impressive winner here two weeks ago. A follow-up looks on the card with Mahon's 7lb claim coming in useful to reduce her burden of 9st 8lb.

PERFECT GLANCE gets the vote in the Silver Star Window Cleaning Maiden Stakes.

Sir Michael Stoute's filly has shown enough in three starts to suggest she can make a bold bid in a modest race such as this. Ted Durcan has the mount.
