JACK Garritty, who has enjoyed a fabulous weekend, can continue his winning run at Ayr this afternoon.

The talented North Yorkshire apprentice won a £150,000 handicap at Ascot on Saturday aboard Heaven's Guest and followed-up for his boss Richard Fahey at Pontefract yesterday when posting a seven-length success on Mayfair Lady before doubling-up on Micky Hammond's Corregio.

Garritty is fancied to hit the mark in Scotland on NEW BIDDER for Middleham trainer Jedd O'Keeffe in the racinguk.com Handicap.

The four-year-old returned to winning form over this course and distance last week when responding well to first-time blinkers to beat Exotic Guest by two and a half lengths. He has a 6lb penalty to carry here, but Garritty's invaluable 3lb claim helps to soften that extra burden and New Bidder is napped to win again.

Nathan Evans can lift the Western House Hotel Apprentice Handicap on UNCLE BRIT.

Evans won on the Rebecca Menzies-trained gelding at Carlisle two outings ago and has since finished fourth on him at Hamilton in a race that did not work ideally for him.

Uncle Brit makes plenty of appeal here on behalf of Evans, who is attached to Mick Easterby's Sheriff Hutton yard and who rode a winner for William Haggas at York on Friday evening on a spare ride which only became available when intended rider Georgia Cox was held up in traffic on the A1.

Danny Tudhope, back among the winners at York's weekend meeting after a month out of action with a broken thumb, teams-up with ROUSAYAN, who has strong claims in the Watch on 3 Devices racinguk.com/anywhere Handicap.

David O'Meara's gelding has been running consistently well since winning at Beverley in May. His latest effort was a third-placed performance on the same course behind Strong Man. He is now equipped with a hood which may eke out a little more improvement from him.

Mark Johnston is enjoying a superb season and the Middleham trainer has good prospects with CHADIC in the Today's Racing Just £10 With Racinguk Handicap.

Joe Fanning's mount has won two of his last three starts and continues to look progressive. His latest success was achieved by a decisive margin at Chester. He is now set to race off a 6lb higher mark, but there could be more to come from him yet.

Richard Fahey's pair CELEBRATION (2.00) and DESIRE (4.40) are two others to consider at Ayr, along with BUSY BIMBO (3.00). Alan Berry's charge ran well to finish a narrowly beaten second at Thirsk last Friday.

At Southwell's evening meeting, Kevin Ryan can continue his excellent run with Mount Kiara in the British Stallion Studs Maiden Stakes.

The Hambleton trainer sent out two winners at York on Saturday and also hit the target at Newmarket and Newcastle. Mount Kiara, the mount of Jamie Spencer, finished second on Knavesmire earlier this month when finding only Husbandry too strong over six furlongs.

Ryan has dropped this colt back to the minimum trip this evening. He promises to take plenty of beating.

Mick Easterby saddles QAFFAAL in the Shredall/SDS Lloydo's 60th Birthday Handicap.

The lightly-raced four-year-old broke his maiden with a gritty effort at Thirsk last time and although he now switches to an artificial surface, over which he is winless in three tries, he is clearly not to be underestimated after his recent success.

The speedy TEVERSHAM (5.35) and Brian Ellison's recent Redcar winner SERENITY NOW (8.45) are two others to consider on the Fibresand course.
