RICHARD Fahey has wasted no time in securing the services of former champion jockey Ryan Moore, who returned to action last weekend at Newmarket after missing most of the summer.

The Malton trainer has booked him for two runners at Ascot this afternoon and the pair have every chance of enjoying a winner.

PIN UP steps up to Listed company in the Londonmetric Noel Murless Stakes and is expected to make a bold bid against her four rivals.

The three-year-old has improved all season and was a winner in handicap company at Haydock four weeks ago. This does not look the toughest of races for this grade and Pin Up, proven over this distance of one and three-quarter miles, is entitled to go well for Fahey and Moore.

In the opening Veolia Handicap, trainer and jockey are represented by Akeed Champion, who, although a beaten favourite at Doncaster last time, deserves attention over seven furlongs, a distance that suits him well.

A bold show is expected from the three-year-old, but he may need to raise his game to beat SHADY MCCOY, who is on something of a roll after winning four of his last five races. A decisive scorer by five lengths at Newmarket last time out, Shady McCoy may be up to defying an 8lb higher mark.

Moore can also hit the target on SQUATS, trained by William Haggas, in the £30,000 Winning Post Bookmakers Bristol Handicap.

The three-year-old has run two solid races over this course and distance recently, including when finishing fourth to Right Touch (winner again since) four weeks ago.

Paul Hanagan can figure among the winners aboard KHAREER in the Troy Asset Management Handicap.

A winner over seven furlongs at Salisbury on his penultimate start, Khareer has since finished fifth at Ayr over a mile. The return to this shorter trip may work the oracle for him once again.

ROBERT THE PAINT, previously trained by David O'Meara, performed admirably on his first run for Lee Carter when narrowly denied by Arthenus on this course last time out.

The battle-hardened seven-year-old lines-up in a similar race today, the Redcentre EBF Stallions Classified Stakes, and is selected to go one better. Stevie Donohoe has the mount.

THE CASHEL MAN has an impressive profile as the winner of three of his last four starts. David Simcock's gelding, who prevailed by five lengths at Newmarket last time, has been raised a whopping 11lb since. That said, he merits respect in the Ascot Camra Beer Festival Gordon Carer Handicap.

At Hexham, the in-form Brian Hughes can get punters off to a good start aboard HEIST in the Hexham Racecourse Ideal For Marriage Interactive Handicap Chase.

Trained in Ireland by Patrick Griffin, the five-year-old won with Hughes on board by five lengths at Sedgefield four weeks ago. A follow-up looks on the cards.

BROTHER SCOTT may prove the solution to the Marquis of Granby Gordon Scorer Novices' Limited Handicap Chase.

Sue Smith's gelding was a winner on this course a fortnight ago and has been raised only 3lb for that neck success. Diarmuid O'Regan, good value for his 5lb claim, has been booked for the ride this afternoon which helps to keep Brother Scott competitively handicapped. He is fancied to make the most of the weight he receives from David Pipe's Somerset raider SKYLANDER. He carries the nap vote.

Also worthy of attention at the Northumberland course are Brian's Ellison's SERENITY NOW (4.15), a course-and-distance winner who reverts to hurdling after a couple of Flat outings, and Native Optimist (5.20), who also has winning form at this venue.
