JACK Garritty has bright prospects of enjoying a milestone success today at York's final meeting of 2015.

The Malton-based apprentice, who is only one winner short of riding out his claim and joining the fully-fledged ranks, teams-up with George Bowen in the featured £100,000 Coral Sprint Trophy and also Donjuan Triumphant, likewise trained by Richard Fahey, in the main supporting event.

Garritty was in the saddle when Donjuan Triumphant broke his maiden in decisive style at Ayr last month in nursery company, sweeping clear of his rivals in the final furlong. The handicapper has since raised him by a whopping 11lb to a mark of 99.

Donjuan Triumphant now steps up into Listed company in the coral.co.uk Rockingham Stakes and is napped to win again.

Thirty five minutes later is the turn of George Bowen. Winner of a valuable prize at the Curragh on his penultimate start, the three-year-old then went down narrowly to his stable-mate Tatlisu - ridden by Garritty - in the Silver Cup at Ayr.

George Bowen is fancied to turn the tables on Tatlisu, the mount of Tony Hamilton this afternoon, and take this prestigious prize to give Garritty a notable victory. Poyle Vinnie and Aetna are among the dangers.

York's concluding card opens with the £35,000 TitanBet.co.uk Handicap over nine furlongs. This closely-knit affair may be best left to Arthenus, the mount of Freddie Tylicki, and trained by the in-form James Fanshawe, who has placed this progressive three-year-old to win his last two races.

Also worthy of attention are the consistent Memorial Day (2-15) and the likeable Empress Ali (5-10), who will appreciate the easy ground.

Newmarket's classy meeting is highlighted by the £500,000 Dubai Dewhurst Stakes, which has predictably attracted a top-notch field of juveniles from England and Ireland.

Air Force Blue, winner of three of his four races for Ballydoyle trainer Aidan O'Brien, is fancied to come out on top in this showpiece Group 1 contest. Ryan Moore's mount has never stopped improving this season and his latest two wins - both at the Curragh and both at Group 1 level - have been hugely impressive.

This is a deep race. Massaat and Tashweeq are potentially smart colts, while Godolphin's Emotionless, unbeaten in two starts, looked a very useful performer when easily winning the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster four weeks ago.

Held in very high regard by jockey William Buick, Emotionless may offer the most potent threat to Air Force Blue, who will be a tough nut to crack.

The Betfred Cesarewitch over two and a quarter miles has attracted a full complement of 34 runners for this famous stamina test. Low Key will be a popular choice with punters with leading apprentice Tom Marquand on board.

The David Pipe-trained gelding, a successful hurdler, won over this course and distance three weeks ago and a 4lb penalty hardly looks enough to spoil his chances. Racing from the foot of the handicap, he can make the most of his light weight.

Also worth noting at Newmarket are Richard Fahey's Chester winner Invermere (2-00) and the potentially useful Ibn Malik (2-35).
