PICKERING Town signed off their 2015/16 season in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division with a 4-2 success at home to Rainworth Miners Welfare.

Sixth placed Town took control of the game with four goals in the first half hour.

Ged Dalton a stalwart of Paul Marshall's team this season added two more goals to his tally with strikes in the 11th and 24th minute, either side of a goal by Sam Calvert in the 16th minute.

The Pikes' fourth and final goal was scored by Matty Turnbull on the half hour.

Liam Theakston pulled two goals back for the visitors in the second half but they could never threaten Pickering's winning farewell for their fans and a good place to kick-start planning for next season.

With all league matches completed Tadcaster Albion are promoted as champions. Nostell, Brigg Town and Pontefract are relegated while Pickering can look forward to visits to Hemsworth, Mansfield and Bottesford who have been promoted from Division One. Harrogate Town and New Mills are the teams relegated from to Evo Stik Division One North.
